N.i.c.k.s gOLF
N.I.C.K.’s Golf is a wonderful year long program that allows kids undergoing cancer treatment to have some fun on the weekend and learn both life lessons and also teaches kids how to golf.
Through a partnership with The First Tee of Broward, The Chiera Family Foundation allows children who are undergoing chemotherapy and other cancer treatments a chance to take a break from hospital visits and spend an hour for four straight weekends learning how to golf.
These golf lessons also teach important life and fitness lessons. N.I.C.K.’s Golf also teaches these children about honesty and the importance of doing good in school. Nutrition and exercise advice is also given. N.I.C.K.’s golf sessions are also available to the siblings and friends of cancer kids. This allows other family and friends who are sometimes left out of their daily cancer routines to participate in a fun, outdoor activity.
N.I.C.K.’s golf also offers a break for stressed out parents who are dealing with their child’s illness. For more information and to sign up for N.I.C.K.’s Golf, please contact The First Tee of Broward at ???
